Astek Belgium is seeking a Senior Full-Stack AI Developer with a strong background in AI to join a pioneering project in the public sector. You will design and implement high-impact applications that combine frontend, backend, and AI components.

You'll work with React, Node.js, and Python, integrating LLMs and multimodal AI models, while contributing to data pipelines, model fine-tuning, and production-quality code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of AI application development experience.
• Strong Node.js and React expertise.
• At least 1 year of Python experience.
• Hands-on with LLMs or VLMs such as GPT/Claude/LLaMA.
• Experience integrating AI models via APIs.
• Prompt engineering and model fine-tuning knowledge.
• Experience with multimodal datasets.
• Native or C2-level Dutch and good English.
• Strong software engineering mindset.

Are you a Senior Full-Stack Developer with a strong background in AI and a passion for turning cutting-edge technologies into real-world applications?

You will work on high-impact solutions combining Full-Stack Development, Artificial Intelligence, LLMs and Multimodal AI, contributing directly to applications with a clear societal impact.

Your challenges will be:

• Develop and maintain modern Full-Stack applications using React and Node.js.
• Integrate AI/ML models through APIs into existing and new applications.

Profile

Must-have:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in AI application development.
• Strong experience with Node.js and React.
• At least 1 year of experience with Python.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and/or VLMs such as GPT, Claude, LLaMA, CLIP or similar technologies.
• Experience integrating AI models through APIs.
• Solid knowledge of prompt engineering and AI model fine-tuning.
• Experience working with text, image and/or multimodal datasets.
• Experience developing multimodal AI applications.
• Native or C2-level Dutch and good English.
• Strong software engineering skills and a hands-on mindset.
