ITS Group Benelux is seeking a Senior OPS Security Engineer specializing in Firewall and Proxy Filtering Services to join our fast-paced Agile environment in Belgium. You will secure network flows, manage firewall requests, resolve incidents, and ensure compliance with internal security standards and regulatory requirements.

You will design and optimize firewall rules, perform audits, document configurations, and collaborate with IT teams using ITIL processes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in firewall environments.
• Strong skills in implementing and optimizing firewall rules, and in IPS/IDS.
• Experience with cloud micro-segmentation and security concepts.
• Proficiency with Palo Alto or Fortinet platforms.
• Experience with ServiceNow ITSM and automation in Excel (VBA/Python).
• Solid understanding of security principles and networking architecture.

• Manage and validate daily firewall flow requests.
• Implement, maintain, and optimize firewall rules and policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve firewall incidents and security issues.
• Ensure configurations comply with security policies and standards.
• Support project teams with firewall and network security expertise.
• Perform audits, reporting, and flow recertification.
• Document configurations and maintain traceability.
• Contribute to continuous security and network architecture improvements.
