Mercury is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor for a major data centre project in Mons, Belgium. You will lead commercial management of electrical packages, manage cost reporting, forecasting and budget control, and review contract documentation.

The role requires 5-7 years in a QS role, strong Excel skills, and the ability to negotiate with clients. You will work closely with clients, the main contractor and supply chain to deliver profitable, on-time outcomes.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years’ experience in a QS role.
• Degree qualified and/or relevant industry experience.
• Working knowledge of Electrical Work Packages.
• Excellent mathematical and analytical abilities.
• Proven negotiation skills with clients.

Responsabilités

• Leading commercial management of electrical packages on a major data centre project.
• Managing cost reporting, forecasting, and budget control.
• Review and understanding project contract documentation.
• Preparing and analysing supplier and sub-contractor enquiries.
• Preparation and issuing of contract documents to our supply chain.
• Monitoring change in our scope of work and pricing of variations.
• Preparing and agreeing Monthly progress applications.
• Financial and contractual control of sub-contractor accounts.
• Issuing of contractual notices and evaluate loss and expense/acceleration claims.
• Providing fast, accurate, competitive and profitable estimates.
• Preparation of monthly commercial project reports.
• Provide Data and analysis of issues & risks as required by Management.
• Managing and forecasting of project Cash flows.
• Liaising with the client, main contractor and other departments.
• All other duties associated with this role.
