Morgan McKinley is seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to lead HSE strategies on a major Data Centre project in Belgium. The role oversees site safety programs, risk assessments, and contractor engagement on a high-stakes build.

You will drive incident investigations, regulatory compliance with European standards, and continuous safety improvements while working a 17 days on / 5 days off rotation with an international expat package.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years in construction HSE roles.
• Proven track record on large-scale data centre or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of European HSE legislation.
• Decisive leader with excellent communication and rotational site-life adaptability.
• Experienced in supervising subcontractors and site teams.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and implement HSE management systems on site to maintain a leading safety culture.
• Drive proactive risk assessments, method statements, and ensure Belgian safety regulations compliance.
• Audit, monitor and coach subcontractors and site teams for zero-compromise safety.
• Lead root-cause investigations and report safety metrics to stakeholders.

Senior Health & Safety Manager - Major Data Centre Project, Belgium

Location: Belgium

Rotation: 17 days on / 5 days off (Paid flights included)

Package: Up to €80,000 Base + Comprehensive International Package

We are seeking a Senior Health & Safety Manager to join our team on a major new Data Centre development in Belgium. This is a flagship infrastructure build, offering the opportunity to lead safety strategies on a high-stakes, fast-paced site while benefiting from an exceptional international compensation package.

Key Responsibilities

• Site Leadership: Oversee and implement all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) management systems on site to maintain an industry-leading safety culture.
• Risk & Compliance: Drive proactive risk assessments, method statements, and ensure total alignment with both project specifications and Belgian local safety regulations.
• Subcontractor Engagement: Audit, monitor, and coach multi-disciplinary sub-contractors and site teams to ensure zero-compromise compliance.
• Incident Management: Lead thorough root-cause investigations, implementing corrective actions and reporting performance metrics to project stakeholders.
• Continuous Improvement: Innovate safety protocols tailored specifically to complex high-tech, MEP, and structural environments.

Candidate Profile

• Experience: 7-10+ years of dedicated experience in construction Health & Safety roles.
• Track Record: Proven history delivering high-value, large-scale construction projects.
• Preferred Sectors: Background in Data Centres, Pharmaceuticals, Advanced Manufacturing, Hospitals, or Large-Scale Commercial builds.
• Regulatory Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of European HSE legislation and site standards.
• Attributes: Decisive leader, exceptional communicator, and adaptable to rotational site life.
