X4 Life Sciences in Belgium seeks a Senior Safety Coordinator Level A to join a dynamic consultancy. The role focuses on statutory safety coordination across design and execution phases, liaising with clients, engineering teams, contractors and project stakeholders to ensure rigorous safety standards are met.

You will help develop the Safety Business Unit, coach junior staff, and contribute to client relationships and internal standards while travelling across Belgium as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in safety coordination within complex industrial construction or investment projects.
• Strong knowledge of Belgian wellbeing legislation and legislation relating to temporary and mobile construction sites.
• Experience with industrial risks including electrical works and LOTO, working at height, lifting, excavation, confined spaces, hot works and hazardous substances.
• Professional fluency in Dutch and French

Responsabilités

• Act as Safety & Health Coordinator during design and/or execution phases.
• Identify, assess and coordinate risks across complex industrial projects.
• Prepare, maintain and monitor Safety & Health Plans and coordination documentation.
• Coordinate design meetings, kick-offs, site meetings and safety inspections.
• Maintain the coordination diary and Post-Intervention File.
• Review contractor risk assessments, work methods, planning and preventive measures.
• Advise clients and project teams on applicable legislation and practical safety solutions.
• Identify and formally report deviations and serious safety risks and follow up on corrective actions.
• Coordinate communication between clients, designers, contractors and prevention stakeholders.
• Contribute to incident investigations, lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives.

Senior Safety Coordinator Level A | Belgium | Permanent

We are currently looking for an experienced Senior Safety Coordinator Level A to join a growing Consultancy in Belgium.

This is a senior position for someone with a strong background in safety and health coordination within complex industrial construction and investment projects. You will take responsibility for statutory safety coordination across the design and/or execution phases, while working closely with clients, engineering teams, contractors and other project stakeholders.

The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the further development of the Safety Business Unit by supporting colleagues, strengthening internal standards and building long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as Safety & Health Coordinator during design and/or execution phases
• Identify, assess and coordinate risks across complex industrial projects
• Prepare, maintain and monitor Safety & Health Plans and coordination documentation
• Coordinate design meetings, kick-offs, site meetings and safety inspections
• Maintain the coordination diary and Post-Intervention File

Your profile:

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in safety coordination within complex industrial construction or investment projects
• Strong knowledge of Belgian wellbeing legislation and legislation relating to temporary and mobile construction sites
• Experience with industrial risks including electrical works and LOTO, working at height, lifting, excavation, confined spaces, hot works and hazardous substances
• Professional fluency in Dutch and French
• Strong communication, organisational and reporting skills
• Comfortable working independently and advising clients and project stakeholders
• Willingness to travel regularly to project sites across Belgium
