Tresco Engineering designs and maintains software powering navigation, automation and fleet management for inland shipping. This on-site, full-time role in the Antwerp metropolitan area focuses on building robust, scalable applications used by ships and operations teams.
You will implement features, optimize performance, and collaborate with support, sales and service crews to translate feedback into solid software.
Tresco Engineering builds navigation and fleet management software for European inland shipping. We’ve done that since 1994, from our base in the port of Antwerp-Bruges. Today, Tresco has become the reference in European inland shipping navigation - more than 6,000 vessels rely on our technology, logging and optimizing millions of sailed kilometers per month.
This product suite allows inland shipping professionals to plan and sail more efficiently, comfortably and cost-effectively. All products have been developed and optimized based on needs and feedback from our client base. Our development team works closely with our sales, support and service teams, so what we build is shaped by what skippers and shipping companies actually need and use daily.
You will design, implement, and maintain software solutions that power navigation, automation, and fleet management products for inland shipping. In this full-time, on-site role located in the Antwerp Metropolitan Area, you will work closely with support, sales and service teams to translate user feedback and business requirements into robust, scalable applications.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include writing clean, tested code, integrating hardware and data sources, optimizing performance for real-time and geospatial workflows, and troubleshooting production issues. You will participate in code reviews, contribute to technical documentation, and collaborate with the team to continuously improve development practices and product usability.
You will also support deployment, maintenance, and iterative enhancement of existing systems based on user feedback and evolving industry standards. Furthermore, you’ll coach and support junior colleagues in the development team.
Don’t tick every box? Apply anyway. If you recognise yourself in most of this, we’d love to talk.
Please note this is an ON-SITE role, please do not apply if you're not in or willing to relocate to Antwerp.
