Job summary

Tresco Engineering designs and maintains software powering navigation, automation and fleet management for inland shipping. This on-site, full-time role in the Antwerp metropolitan area focuses on building robust, scalable applications used by ships and operations teams.

You will implement features, optimize performance, and collaborate with support, sales and service crews to translate feedback into solid software.

Qualifications

• Experience with Ruby on Rails, HTML and CSS.
• Strong PostgreSQL administration and data handling.
• Familiarity with Docker and time-series data processing.

Responsibilities

• Write clean, tested code and integrate data sources.
• Optimize performance for real-time and geospatial workflows.
• Troubleshoot production issues and participate in code reviews.
• Contribute to technical documentation and best practices.
• Support deployment and iterative enhancement of systems.
• Coach and mentor junior developers in the team.
