Victrix Legion seeks an expert Database Administrator to manage and optimize SQL Server environments, design robust HA/DR architectures, and oversee cloud and on-prem deployments. You will implement automation, monitor performance, and ensure data governance across multiple systems.

The role requires strong scripting (PowerShell, T-SQL, Python) and experience with Azure, PostgreSQL/MySQL, and MongoDB. You’ll lead incident investigations and collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain

Qualifications

• Expert-level knowledge and hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server administration, development, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and optimization.
• Strong experience designing, implementing, and supporting High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions including Always On Availability Groups, Failover Clustering, Replication, and Backup/Recovery strategies.
• Experience managing databases across cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Virtual Machines).
• Experience administering and supporting open-source databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL/MariaDB.
• Experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• Proficiency in scripting with PowerShell, T-SQL, and/or Python.
• Strong understanding of relational database design, indexing, query optimization, and capacity planning.
• Experience implementing IaC, CI/CD pipelines, and database deployment automation.
• Skilled in containerized and virtualized environments.
• Knowledge of database monitoring, observability, and performance management tools.
• Ensures data quality, consistency, and governance across integrated systems with data standards and compliance.
• Implement secure DB management practices, including access control, encryption, auditing, and vulnerability management.
• Lead technical investigations, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex database incidents.
