Movify is helping a large public organisation in Antwerp with a data platform built on Microsoft Fabric. You will join an AI & Data team to design, build and operate scalable data pipelines, shaping the lakehouse and data models while advancing governance and best practices.

You will work closely with analysts, architects and business users, applying AI-assisted coding and modern data engineering techniques to deliver reliable datasets and reporting solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as a Data Engineer, incl. 3+ years Python.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Fabric on Azure lakehouse/warehouse.
• Experience integrating multiple source systems and supporting reporting.
• Fluent in English; Dutch (C2) highly preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design, build and run scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Fabric.

• Shape lakehouse and warehouse layers for clean data models.
• Set coding conventions, CI/CD, documentation and best practices for the team.

Movify helps organisations make the most of their data, from solid foundations to GenAI use cases. A data team of 10 to 15 engineers is building a modern data platform on Microsoft Fabric, and the team is looking for an expert to show them the way: how to build it right, and how to build it faster with AI. That’s where you come in.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll join our AI & Data team and be started on a long-term assignment with a large public organisation in Antwerp, where your work will shape how a whole data team builds.

• Design, build and run scalable data pipelines on Microsoft Fabric (pipelines, dataflows, notebooks).
• Integrate data from many sources: databases, APIs, files and business applications.
• Shape the lakehouse and warehouse layers and turn reporting needs into clean data models and reliable datasets.
• Set the standards the whole team builds on: coding conventions, CI/CD, documentation and best practices.
• Show the team how to get the most out of AI tools like GitHub Copilot in their daily engineering work.
• Work closely with analysts, reporting specialists, architects and business users.

What we’re looking for

• 5+ years as a Data Engineer, including 3+ years of Python in a data engineering context.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric on Azure lakehouse or warehouse architectures.
• Experience integrating multiple source systems and supporting reporting and analytics environments.
• You already use AI coding assistants in your daily work and know where they really help.
• You enjoy sharing what you know and raising the bar for the people around you.
• Native-level Dutch (C2) and fluent English.
• Spark and medallion architecture (bronze, silver, gold).
• CI/CD, Git and deployment of data solutions.
• Power BI and Kimball data modelling.
• Data governance, data quality and lineage.
• Experience in the public sector or a complex enterprise environment.
• Data mesh or domain-oriented architectures.
