Job summary

Koda Tech is seeking a Data Engineer to join a fast-growing data team in Antwerp. You will design and develop scalable data products, ETL/ELT pipelines, and AI-powered solutions on modern data platforms—a chance to contribute to an enterprise-wide data platform with cutting-edge information retrieval technologies.

English is required; Dutch is highly advantageous. The role offers a strong growth path, exposure to AI initiatives, and collaboration with stakeholders across the organization.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Commercial experience with AI technologies.

As part of a major growth initiative, they're expanding their data team and looking for talented Data Engineers who want to work on modern data platforms, AI-driven solutions, and cutting-edge information retrieval technologies.

What you'll be doing

• Designing and developing scalable data products and modern data pipelines
• Building data solutions that support reporting, analytics, and AI applications
• Working with RAG architectures, embeddings, vector search, and information retrieval technologies
• Developing AI-powered solutions and automation capabilities
• Creating robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data models
• Implementing data quality and validation processes
• Collaborating closely with engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders
• Contributing to the evolution of a strategic enterprise-wide data platform

What we're looking for

• 4+ years' experience as a Data Engineer
• Strong Python and SQL skills
• Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines
• Commercial experience with AI technologies
• Experience working with APIs and multiple data sources
• Strong understanding of data modelling and data architecture

Highly desirable

• Experience with Vector Search, Embeddings, RAG, or Information Retrieval solutions
• Elasticsearch or Vector Database experience
• Apache Airflow or workflow orchestration tools
