Job summary

Flexport is seeking a Customs Associate in Antwerp, Belgium. You will handle Belgium customs declarations, onboard customers, and help develop SOPs. You’ll work with sales to advise on customs, mentor new hires, and contribute to projects that improve processes and services. A strong background in customs and forwarder operations is required.

You’ll join a fast-growing, global team and play a key role in shaping efficient, compliant customs workflows across clients and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of current experience in customs & forwarding.
• Strong knowledge of Belgium customs market.
• Experience with customs product classification, origin, valuation and EU tariff.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• High level of computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Complete Belgium Customs declarations to a high standard.
• Onboard new customers and build operational SOPs.
• Develop operational processes and fix issues.
• Provide guidance on customs topics to sales teams.
• Mentor new hires and lead client discussions on classification/origin/valuation.
• Build customs SOPs and collaborate with internal/external stakeholders.
• Drive projects to implement new services and workflows.
