Job summary

Batopin is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to safeguard its Belgian fintech operations. You will lead regulatory compliance, build policies, and serve as data protection officer while reporting to the management team and board.

The role focuses on staying current with PSD2, GDPR, AML/CFT, running risk assessments, coordinating audits, and delivering training to staff in Dutch, French and English within a hybrid Brussels setup.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Law, Economics or Finance.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• In-depth knowledge of financial services regulations and payment industry guidelines (PSD2, GDPR, AML/CFT).
• Fluent in Dutch and French with good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

• Regulatory compliance: maintain and improve compliance program; report to management.
• Monitoring compliance: conduct risk assessments and oversee audits.
• Documentation and awareness: deliver training and maintain audit-ready records.
