Job summary

Stibbe is seeking a Senior Risk & Compliance Officer in Brussels to strengthen its Risk & Compliance team. You will work with the Head of Risk & Compliance and two colleagues, shaping the compliance framework and advancing processes.

You will handle risk assessments, client onboarding, and regulatory requirements across the firm, including involvement with Luxembourg and Amsterdam offices. A blend of hands-on execution and strategic oversight is expected.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Law and at least four years of relevant experience in a legal/compliance environment.
• Solid, practical knowledge of AML/KYC.
• Experience with compliance & client onboarding tools (e.g. Intapp).

Responsibilities

• Risk & Compliance strategy, including the implementation of Intapp and client onboarding.
• Day-to-day compliance checks: onboarding, conflicts, KYC/AML, DAC6, market abuse, GDPR, sanctions.
• Structured analysis of potential risks and mitigation strategies.
• Preparing and delivering structured reporting to stakeholders.
• Senior point of reference, guiding and supervising team activities.
• Delivering training and awareness initiatives.
• Collaborating with Luxembourg and Amsterdam offices.
• Working with Head of Risk & Compliance for efficient execution.
