Job summary

Inetum Belgium is seeking a Senior Business Controller / Finance Business Partner to act as a trusted partner for designated business areas. You will lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning, analyse performance, and provide actionable recommendations to senior leadership.

You will drive monthly close, enhance reporting dashboards, and support strategic decisions while shaping the future of finance with SAP and AI-driven processes. Fluency in Dutch, French and English is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Controlling, FP&A or similar finance partnering role.
• Experience in a large international corporate environment.
• Experience in IT, Technology or Professional Services sector is an asset.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and business analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate with senior management and C-level stakeholders.
• Capable of challenging, influencing and supporting the business.
• Strong presentation skills to explain complex financial topics clearly.

Senior Business Controller / Finance Business Partner

As a Senior Business Controller, you are more than a financial expert. You act as a trusted business partner, helping leaders make informed decisions and driving financial excellence across the business.

You will be responsible for a dedicated area of the organization, working closely with Business Unit Directors and reporting directly to the Finance Director. In this highly visible role, you challenge, advise and support senior stakeholders while ensuring strong financial governance and operational performance.

As our organization continues its transformation journey, including the implementation of SAP and the exploration of AI-driven finance processes, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our Finance function.

Key responsibilities

• Act as a Finance Business Partner for designated business areas.


• Lead the budgeting, forecasting and long-term planning processes.


• Analyze business performance, identify risks and opportunities, and provide actionable recommendations.


• Present financial insights and performance results to senior leadership and C-level stakeholders.


• Drive the monthly closing and reporting process, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.


• Develop and improve reporting dashboards and management information.


• Challenge business assumptions and actively contribute to strategic decision-making.


• Support business leaders in understanding financial performance and key financial drivers.


• Coach and educate non-financial stakeholders on financial processes, reporting requirements and financial best practices.


• Take ownership of finance-related initiatives and guide stakeholders through process improvements and change.


• Contribute to the ongoing SAP implementation and future automation and AI-driven Finance initiatives.


• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reporting and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field.


• Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Controlling, FP&A or a similar finance partnering role.


• Experience within a large international and corporate environment.


• Experience within the IT, Technology or Professional Services sector is considered a strong asset.


• Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning and business analysis.


• Comfortable communicating with senior management and C-level stakeholders.


• Able to challenge, influence and support the business in a constructive manner.


• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex financial topics in a clear and accessible way.


• Experience leading discussions, driving alignment and ensuring stakeholders take ownership of actions.


• Strong interest in finance transformation, automation and AI-driven processes.


• Experience with SAP is highly desirable. Knowledge of TM1, Power BI and other reporting tools is a plus.


• Fluent in Dutch, French and English. Strong Dutch language skills are highly preferred.
