Job summary

Siemens AG in Belgium seeks a Financial Project Controller to drive planning, controlling and reporting for the Smart Infrastructure division. You will partner with management to provide insights on performance, risks and forecasts, while shaping new cost models and dashboards for continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• A degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Solid accounting skills with the ability to interpret financial statements.
• Excellent MS Office knowledge with expert Excel; SAP experience desired.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a data mindset.
• Fluency in Dutch and good English; French is a plus.

Your Mission & Responsibilities:

As a Financial Project Controller, you will be at the heart of our financial operations, driving strategic decision-making and optimizing performance. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Comprehensive Financial Management:Leading planning, controlling, and reporting activities for the business unit.
• Strategic Business Partnering:Supporting management by providing crucial insights into performance, risks, and forecasting to enhance operational efficiency.
• Efficiency & Cost Optimization:Defining new models/dashboards and leveraging existing operational and financial dashboards to continuously improve the department's cost flows.
• In-depth Financial Analysis:Executing budget and financial planning, conducting detailed actual-versus-plan analysis, benchmarking, forecasting, and reporting to empower management's decision-making process.
• Cost Structure Enhancement:Applying your analytical and critical mindset to analyze and evaluate existing cost structures, optimizing them based on the cost accounting system.
• Performance Improvement Initiatives:Identifying and proposing efficiency measures to boost business performance and ensure accurate cost booking.
• Stakeholder Communication:Developing and delivering regular presentations for internal stakeholders, based on consolidated budgets and periodic forecasts.
• KPI Definition & Monitoring:Defining and monitoring relevant Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure the achievement of critical business goals.
• Impact Assessment:Designing follow-up models to calculate the benefits of efficiency plans and performing Actual vs. Plan comparisons to track the effects of agreed measures.
• Ad-hoc Analysis:Carrying out insightful ad-hoc analyses and profitability calculations to support various business needs.

Are you the talented individual we're looking for? You should possess:

• A degree in Finance or Accounting.
• Solid accounting skills with a proven ability to understand and interpret key financial statements.
• Excellent professional knowledge of MS Office, with expert proficiency in Excel, and SAP.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, combined with a critical mindset.
• A genuine passion for working with numbers and data.
• Fluency in Dutch and a good command of English. Knowledge of French is considered a valuable asset.
