Job summary

g2 Recruitment is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a Belgium-based Cloud and IT Transformation programme in a 12-month freelance engagement. You will bridge business operations and IT, shaping requirements for cloud migration and system modernisation in a multi-site retail environment.

You will run as-is/to-be mapping, create user stories, and ensure delivery aligns with business value. Strong communication with stakeholders, solution architects, and project managers is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Business Analysis within IT transformation or complex enterprise projects.
• Proven experience translating business requirements into functional solutions and technical specifications.
• Experience with cloud transformation, cloud migration or modernisation of enterprise IT systems.
• Strong understanding of systems integration, business processes and the relationship between business operations and IT.
• Experience with process modelling, gap analysis, requirements engineering and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders, IT teams, solution architects and project managers to define transformation requirements.
• Analyse current business processes, IT systems and workflows to identify improvement opportunities.
• Lead as-is/to-be process mapping and assess impact of cloud migration on operations and applications.
• Translate business needs into clear functional requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Identify dependencies, integration requirements, data flows and potential risks.
• Ensure alignment between business objectives, cloud solutions and wider IT architecture.
• Facilitate workshops and requirements-gathering sessions.
• Support solution validation, integration testing and UAT readiness.
• Identify opportunities to standardise processes and improve IT service delivery.
• Track changes and communicate progress, risks and dependencies across the programme.
