Job summary

Neurho Solutions, a Belgian IT and business consultancy, seeks a Senior Business Analyst Credit to improve digital lending processes across the credit lifecycle. The role connects business needs with functional delivery in an Agile environment using COBOL, Java APIs and process-layer configuration.

You will gather needs, translate to requirements, define acceptance criteria, analyse API flows, and ensure alignment with stakeholders including Legal, Compliance and Risk.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of business analysis experience.
• Good functional knowledge of lending applications and the processes and products they support.
• Technical affinity with COBOL applications.

• Technical affinity with process-layer configuration.
• Ability to analyse API requirements.
• Understanding of functional integration flows.
• Experience in the banking sector and risk/credit.
• End-to-end knowledge of credit products.
• Strong Agile experience (refinement, delivery, sprint ceremonies).
• English at C2 level; French or Dutch at C2 level; passive understanding of both.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst Credit to improve digital lending processes throughout the credit lifecycle. The mission focuses on credit servicing, from contracting and subsequent adjustments to repayment and portfolio risk management. You will work on applications that maintain credit reference data, connecting business needs with functional delivery in an Agile environment combining COBOL applications, Java APIs and process-layer configuration.

Your role

• Gather and analyse business needs, translate them into functional requirements and define acceptance criteria.
• Carry out impact and scenario analyses, challenge requirements and relate proposed changes to their costs.
• Align stakeholders on scope, progress, timelines and objectives, working closely with process engineers, functional analysts, developers and architects.
• Analyse API-related needs and integration flows, and clarify application behaviour with IT teams.
• Support feature refinement and slicing with product owners, identifying dependencies, risks and impacts with architects, data managers and stakeholders from Legal, Compliance and Risk.
• Help prepare feature test plans, identify UAT participants and support functional testing and user acceptance testing.
• Take part in business acceptance testing and release validation.
• Clarify requirements during testing and help resolve and close incidents with functional analysts and developers.

You have

• At least three to five years of relevant business analysis experience.
• Good functional knowledge of lending applications and the processes and products they support.
• Technical affinity with COBOL applications.
• Technical affinity with Java APIs and application integration.
• Technical affinity with process-layer configuration.
• Ability to analyse API requirements.
• Understanding of functional integration flows.
• Ability to discuss application behaviour with functional analysts, developers and architects.
• Experience in the banking sector.
• Experience in risk and credit.
• End-to-end knowledge of credit products.
• In-depth knowledge and practical experience of Agile, including refinement, delivery and sprint ceremonies.
• English at C2 level.
• French or Dutch at C2 level.
• At least a passive understanding of French.
