Labcorp is seeking an onsite Senior Prevention Advisor, Biosafety Officer to join our new CMC facility in Mechelen, Belgium. You will lead EHS governance, advance biosafety programs, and coordinate containment strategies across lab and production operations.

The role requires strong experience in risk assessment, incident investigations, and regulatory interactions, with a focus on safeguarding people and the environment while enabling scientific progress at Labcorp.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) scientific degree and Belgian Level 2 Internal Prevention Advisor qualification.
• 2+ years experience in EHS and developing or managing a safety program for chemical, biological, radiation or equivalent fields.
• 2+ years of experience in biological safety for labs and/or bioproduction (risk assessment, containment CL2/CL3, GMO dossiers, training, incident management)

Responsabilités

• Lead EHS governance and culture; advise employer, line management and Prevention & Protection Committee.
• Maintain and improve the EHS management system (policies, procedures, KPIs, audits, management review, corrective actions).
• Coordinate Biosafety activities for contained use, risk assessments, containment measures, training, incident response, waste streams and dossier submissions to regulators.
• Oversee GMO and pathogen lifecycle controls; regulator interactions and inspections.
• Design and own industrial hygiene and ergonomics programs; manage safety for machinery and storage.
• Deliver EHS training and develop SOPs and procedures for EHS and biological safety programs.
