Job summary

Engibex, a Belgian engineering consulting firm, is seeking a senior embedded software engineer with automotive diagnostics experience to join its team in Sint-Truiden. You will specify, design, implement and document software functionalities and collaborate with verification teams to develop test specifications and cases.

Ideal candidates have >5 years of embedded SW development, knowledge of ASPICE, and familiarity with Vector tools and automotive safety standards.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent.
Greater than 5 years of experience in Embedded SW development.
Experience in Automotive SW development, diagnostics focus.
Strong understanding of embedded hardware/software systems.
Knowledge of ASPICE and ISO standards is a plus.
Experience with Vector Tools is a strong plus.
Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO26262) and Cybersecurity (ISO21434) is a plus.
Experience with VECTOR AUTOSAR stack is a plus.
Expertise in bootloader design and HSM firmware is a plus.
Ability to develop and maintain technical documentation.
Proficient in static and dynamic code analysis methodologies and tools.
Experience in agile development environments.
Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
Pragmatic, proactive, and solution-oriented.
Organized and detail oriented.
Fluent in English

Responsibilities

Specify, design, implement, and document software functionalities.
Work closely with the SW Verification and Validation team to develop test specifications and write test cases.
Develop new software and maintain existing products.
Collaborate with System and Application software teams to solve complex technical challenges.
Assist in diagnosing software-level issues.
