Job summary

Amaris Consulting, part of Mantu, seeks a Senior Automation Equipment Engineer in Belgium for leading two strategic automation programs at a European Distribution Center. You will own equipment design, delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover to Operations, covering robots, conveyors, packaging machines, and WCS interfaces.

Hybrid setup with four on-site days. You will coordinate FAT/SAT and drive reliability improvements, working with cross-functional teams and OEMs.

Qualifications

8+ years in automation/capital equipment within packaging or manufacturing.
Experience delivering equipment from spec to handover (FAT/SAT).
Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge; review PLC/HMI designs and interfaces.
Machinery safety knowledge: EN ISO 12100/13849, CE marking.
Experience in regulated environments (GxP, validation, change control).
Fluent in English and French; on-site 4 days/week; travel to OEM sites.

Responsibilities

Own equipment engineering for two automation programs from specs to handover.
Define equipment specs, layouts, interfaces, and utilities; review PLC/HMI designs.
Lead risk reviews with EHS; coordinate FAT/SAT, installation, commissioning, defect resolution, acceptance.
Prepare maintenance plans, spare parts lists, operator training, handover docs.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve reliability and resolve faults.
