Jobat is guiding an international trading and supply chain organization in Brussels to recruit a Senior Accountant for Europe-wide accounting, tax compliance, and financial reporting. You will work with a Shared Service Center to ensure accurate close processes and adherence to local and group policies.

The role emphasizes VAT compliance, statutory reporting, audits, and collaboration with business teams, with opportunities to contribute to digitization initiatives and AI-powered improvements.

Responsabilités

• Managing monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and balance sheet reviews.
• Acting as the accounting reference point for the Belgian entity and overseeing the quality of accounting transactions processed by the Shared Service Center.
• Taking ownership of VAT compliance, tax-related reporting, and statutory obligations across multiple European jurisdictions.
• Coordinating annual audits and supporting the preparation of statutory financial statements.
• Partnering with business teams to provide accounting and tax guidance on commercial and operational activities.
• Ensuring compliance with local regulations, internal controls, and group accounting policies.
• Identifying opportunities to streamline processes, strengthen controls, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contributing to digitization and automation projects, including the adoption of innovative technologies and AI-driven solutions.

As Senior Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy of accounting operations, compliance, and financial reporting within an international business environment. Working closely with a Shared Service Center and stakeholders across Europe, your responsibilities will include:
