EEAS seeks a Policy Officer to strengthen security policy and awareness across Brussels and EU Delegations. The role coordinates with EU institutions to harmonise security rules, drafts guidance for handling EU classified information, and supports the EEAS Security Committee.

CAST eligibility and English/French proficiency are essential, with a one-year contract potentially extendable. The successful candidate will develop practical procedures, contribute to risk analyses and maintain ongoing

Qualifications

The candidate has completed university studies of at least three years with a diploma.
Must have passed a valid EPSO CAST in FG IV or be registered in the EPSO Permanent CAST for FG IV.
Proficient in English and French; EU/EU-related security and external relations knowledge is advantageous.

Responsabilités

Develop and promote EEAS security policies and guidelines for EUCI handling.
Draft recommendations for Council negotiations on information security agreements.
Coordinate with Council and Commission to ensure coherent security rules.
Produce practical instructions for staff and maintain security procedures across sites.
Contribute to security risk studies, analyses, and evaluations.
Provide security briefings to diverse audiences and support EEAS committees.
