Scrum Master – Role Overview
We are looking for a pragmatic Scrum Master to support five teams with varying maturity levels.
We aim for stable teams, requiring a minimum six‑month commitment without changing teams.
The role involves helping individuals adopt the right mindset and behaviors, guiding teams toward continuous improvement, and fostering collaboration with the Agile teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate team collaboration and problem solving.
- Adapt approaches to meet needs rather than strictly following a prescribed process.
- Prioritize working teams over product outputs.
- Measure and collect delivery metrics, team health, and customer satisfaction to track improvement impact.
- Integrate five teams and improve their working practices, enabling a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in Agile Chapter events twice a month.
Requirements
- Proactive with the ability to act at all system levels while supporting individual team members.
- Passionate about evidence‑based metrics in development.
- Own and apply the Agile mindset (values and principles).
- Provide constructive feedback to foster improvement.
- Work independently and plan Scrum activities without supervision while aligned with chapter goals.
- Minimum three years proven experience as a Scrum Master.
- Experience as a Scrum Master in two to three teams, preferably outside IT.
- Experience across multiple companies is a plus.
- Fluent in English with additional fluency in French or Dutch (German is a plus).
- Mastery of several Agile approaches (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) to adapt to team needs.
- Virtual and physical facilitation skills, creating an environment that supports the team.
- Strong interest in innovation and experimentation.
- Knowledge of Design Thinking (nice to have).
- Knowledge of UX design/development frameworks (nice to have).
Additional Information
- Location: Brussels (on‑site presence required two days per week; occasional work at the 50Hertz Netzquartier in Berlin).
- Travel to Germany will have all costs covered by the client.
