Job summary

Ghent University in Belgium seeks a scientific researcher to advance studies on how the heart functions during sepsis, using mouse models and molecular biology techniques. The position requires a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field, FELASA C, and hands-on experience with mouse work and molecular assays.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry & Biotechnology, or equivalent.
• FELASA C certificate.
• Experience in mouse handling: surgery, intravenous and intraperitoneal injections, cardiac puncture, organ isolation.
• Experience with molecular biological techniques: Oroboros, Rheometry, Western Blot, RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, qPCR, Biochemical analysis (ELISA).
• Desirable, but not required experience: Analysis of omics data (RNA sequencing, proteomics, metabolomics).
• Strong communication skills in English.
