Job summary

Ghent University invites applications for a scientific researcher to finalize research lines on heart function during sepsis using mouse knock-out models. The group compares early- and late-stage sepsis and studies heart metabolism during sepsis, requiring strong molecular biology skills and experience with mouse handling.

Required are a Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences or related field, FELASA C, and proficiency in English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Biochemistry & Biotechnology or equivalent.
• FELASA C certificate is required.
• Experience with mouse handling (surgery, injections, organ isolation).
• Molecular biology techniques including RNA isolation, cDNA synthesis, qPCR; biochemical analysis (ELISA).
