Within the group of Prof. Claude Libert, we are investigating how the heart is functioning during sepsis. Here, we compare the heart function between early- and late-stage sepsis. Furthermore, we are also investigating the heart metabolism during sepsis, in which specific mouse knock-out models are used to better understand how the heart metabolism is regulated. Therefore, we are looking for a scientific researcher to finalize these research lines.
As Ghent University maintains an equal opportunities and diversity policy, everyone is encouraged to apply for this position.
