Wlgroup in Mons, Belgium, seeks an experienced network engineer to design, operate and optimise satellite network architectures (hub-and-spoke, mesh, point-to-point, P2MP). You will support integration and management of hybrid satellite services, both military and commercial, and design end-to-end IP services across satellite and terrestrial infrastructure.

The role requires 5+ years in IP networking, strong TCP/IP fundamentals, and experience with routing, tunnelling, and WAN technologies.

Qualifications

• Degree in telecommunications, electronics, IT, or related field.
• 5+ years in IP networking - routing, switching, WAN technologies.
• Experience with satellite, WAN or deployed communication systems operationally.
• Solid fundamentals: TCP/IP, addressing, MTU/MSS, VLANs, layer 2/3 networking.
• Ability to read routing tables and explain traffic paths.
• Experience with tunnelling: GRE, IPSec, GRE over IPSec, L2TP.

Responsabilités

• Design and optimise satellite network architectures (hub-and-spoke, mesh, point-to-point, point-to-multipoint).
• Support integration and management of hybrid satellite services (military and commercial).
• Design end-to-end IP services across satellite and terrestrial infrastructure.
• Configure, operate, optimise and troubleshoot SCPC, MCPC, TDMA and other access schemes.
• Diagnose routing, tunnel, and connectivity faults with latency-aware analysis.
• Support deployments, exercises and mission-related activity.
• Contribute to service performance reporting within service management processes.
