Wlgroup is seeking an experienced network engineer to design, integrate and optimise satellite and terrestrial networks for mission-critical applications. You will work on hub-and-spoke, mesh, and point-to-point topologies, ensuring end-to-end IP services and robust performance.

The role emphasizes troubleshooting, operational deployments, and participation in service performance reporting, with the primary workplace in Mons, Belgium during standard hours.

Qualifications

• Minimum degree or higher vocational training in telecommunications, electronics, IT, network engineering or related field.
• Strong foundations in TCP/IP, addressing/subnetting, TCP/UDP, MTU/MSS, and layer 2-3 networking.
• CCNA certification or equivalent practical experience required; CCNP Enterprise preferred.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical expertise in design, integration, operation and optimisation of satellite network architectures (hub-and-spoke, mesh, point-to-point, point-to-multipoint).
• Support integration and management of hybrid satellite services, military and commercial.
• Design end-to-end IP services across satellite and terrestrial infrastructure.
• Design and implement layer 2 and layer 3 services: VLAN tagging, Q-in-Q, VLAN translation, trunking and traffic segmentation.
• Configure, operate, optimise and troubleshoot SCPC, MCPC, TDMA and other satellite access schemes.
• Diagnose end-to-end connectivity problems: routing faults, tunnel failures, packet loss, high latency, asymmetric routing.
• Support operational deployments, exercises and mission-related activity.
• Work within service management processes and contribute to service performance reporting.
