WLG in Belgium is seeking a satellite communications engineer to lead an acquisition project from requirement to acceptance testing. You will write specifications, support evaluation, and supervise design and testing at the end.

The role requires a Bachelor's in a related discipline with 3 years of SATCOM experience, plus strong RF and antenna knowledge and the ability to document decisions for a non-technical audience. On-site in Braine-l'Alleud, NATO-related program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline with three years of SATCOM experience.
• At least three years of practical SATCOM experience across the UHF and SHF domains.
• Deep knowledge of SATCOM architecture, budgeting a link, modulation, coding, and network layout.
• Strong RF engineering and antenna knowledge, signal path and degradation considerations.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership to acquisition projects—integrated, interoperable solutions, specifications, evaluation support and acceptance testing.
• Contribute to solution architectures and document key decisions affecting cost, performance and scalability.
• Align solutions with enterprise architecture standards, including security.
• Define scoping, requirements, prioritisation and traceability; manage baseline changes.
• Plan and drive systems development projects, select methods/tools, build roadmaps.
