Job summary

Magnax, a Belgian deep-tech company in Kortrijk, is building yokeless axial flux motors for robotics. We seek an Applications Engineer to be the technical link between market, customers and our R&D team, with English as the working language.

You will handle customer inquiries, translate specs into motor requirements, propose solutions with pricing, and track market trends to shape product and commercial decisions. The role offers hybrid work with one remote day per week and occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in engineering: electromechanical, electrical, mechanical or mechatronics.
• At least 2 years of experience in robotics (actuators, cobots, industrial robots, humanoids, AMRs).
• Understanding of electric drive systems; able to discuss motors, gearboxes and controllers with a customer's team.
• Strong written and spoken English; willing to travel occasionally.
• Enjoys customer contact and writes clear proposals.
• Turns market information into actionable insights for management.

Responsibilities

• You are the first technical contact for customer enquiries and translate needs into motor requirements.
• Collaborate with R&D to select motor solutions and provide pricing in proposals.
• Follow the project from enquiry through to win and hand over to the project team.
• Track robotics market trends and report insights to management.
• Support product docs and sales tools with customer feedback; join fairs as needed.
