Ghent University invites applications for the Assistant department of Business Informatics and Operations Management (30246). The two-year appointment, renewable twice, starts no earlier than 1 November 2026 and includes research and teaching responsibilities within the department.

You will devote at least 50% to academic research in preparation of a doctoral dissertation, assist in teaching Business Informatics courses, and support internal and external services of the department.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Business Engineering, Business Informatics, Business Economics (IT/MIS/BI), Computer Science or Software Engineering.
• Diploma from outside EU requires NARIC equivalence.
• Interested in academic or project-based research and services in Business Informatics.
• Well-versed in software development and data management methods.
• Teaching experience or participation in extra training is recommended.
• Excellent teaching and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Spend at least 50% of your assignment on academic research in preparation of a doctoral dissertation.
• Assist in the teaching activities at the department, specifically courses in Business Informatics.
• Assist in the internal and external services of the department.
