Ghent University invites applications for a Post-doctoral assistant in the Department of Marketing, Innovation and Organisation (EB23). The position focuses largely on academic research in data analytics, data science and machine learning, with responsibilities in fundraising and supervising theses.

Teaching duties at Bachelor’s or Master’s level are possible in Dutch or English. The appointment is 3 years with a possible second term, starting 15 October 2026, at 80% FTE.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Applied Economic Sciences, preferably Data Analytics.
• Research experience in data science and machine learning.
• Excellent command of English and Dutch for teaching.
• Experience supervising master theses.

Responsabilités

• Spend ≥70% on academic research in data analytics and ML.
• Lead fundraising and research funding applications.
• Assist in Bachelor’s/Master’s teaching and courses.
• Counsel Master’s students and support theses.
• Contribute to research group development and seminars.
