Ghent University is seeking an Assistant in the Department of Accounting, Corporate Finance and Taxation to support research for a doctoral dissertation in taxation and to assist with teaching activities in Dutch. The role also involves contributing to the department’s internal and external services, under the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration.

The appointment is a two-year term, extendable; starting 1 October 2026 at the earliest, with a comprehensive benefits package including

Qualifications

• Master in Economics, Business Economics, Business Engineering, Business Administration or equivalent.
• For non-EU diplomas, submit a certificate of equivalence (NARIC).
• Interest in academic and/or project-based research and services.
• Teaching experience or participation in extra training is recommended.
• Excellent teaching and communication skills are required.
• Competence to give presentations in Dutch.

Responsabilités

• Spend at least 50% of your assignment on academic research for a doctoral dissertation in taxation.
• Assist in teaching activities in Dutch at the department in taxation.
• Assist in the internal and external services of the department.
