European Lab Services, part of the Optimus Instruments Group, seeks a field-based engineer to install and prepare laboratory testing and measuring equipment across the Benelux. You will perform maintenance, calibrations, and repairs, and communicate results through detailed reports to clients.

The role requires a technical degree, strong analytical skills, and a customer-focused mindset with the ability to work independently. Fluency in English and a valid driving license are essential.

Qualifications

• Completed higher technical education or engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
• Experience in installing, calibrating, and/or repairing measuring equipment is a plus.
• Strong analytical and logical skills; you are a true problem solver.
• Customer-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently.
• Accuracy, precision, and attention to detail are key traits.
• Collaboration within our team is essential, and your strong communication skills contribute to this.
• Preferably living nearby one of our locations (Deerlijk, Temse, Sint-Niklaas, or Rotterdam).
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
• A valid driver’s license (Category B).

Responsabilités

• Install and prepare laboratory testing and measuring equipment for use at client sites across the Benelux.
• Periodic maintenance, calibrations, and repairs.
• Communicate with the client after an intervention and provide detailed service and measurement reports.
• Act in accordance with ISO 17025 quality standards.
• Report to the Technical Director.
