Job summary

Jobgether, partnering with a Belgium-based employer, seeks a Data Platform Engineer (Mid-level) to evolve a data/ML platform into a scalable self-service environment. You’ll build deployment pipelines, IaC modules, and reusable tooling to empower engineering teams and streamline data services across the organization.

Qualifications

• Deployment ownership from end to end with pipelines and runbooks.
• Approximately two years or more in software, data, platform, DevOps, or infra.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Python and SQL proficiency for professional tasks.
• CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices in use.
• Able to analyze code, identify issues, and justify fixes.
• Experience with Docker and familiarity with AWS.
• Willingness to work across data, backend, and infrastructure.
• Comfort with AI-assisted development tools and critical review.
• Strong ownership, accountability, and learning mindset.
• Respect for existing patterns and architecture.
• Clear communication and reasoning in decisions.

Responsibilities

• Improve CI/CD pipelines and adapt workflows for reliable delivery.
• Develop infrastructure-as-code modules aligned with patterns.
• Apply data governance Standards for access and retention policies.
• Build reusable platform tooling and template repositories.
• Create modules to simplify pipeline creation and reuse.
• Write runbooks and troubleshooting guides for engineers.
• Own data access workflows and request processes.
• Take ownership of tooling roadmap and technical direction.
• Collaborate with data, backend, and infra engineers.
• Incorporate AI-assisted development with critical review.
