Tractebel is seeking a Medior Engineer in Radiological Characterisation to join the Radiation Protection, Radwaste and Decommissioning Centre. You will deliver radiological characterisation studies, working at the Tihange site up to 3 days per week and collaborating with multiple teams across the ENGIE group.

The role requires a master’s degree or PhD in engineering or sciences (physics preferred), at least 5 years in the nuclear sector, and fluency in French and English (Dutch an asset).

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering or sciences (preferably in physics).
• At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear sector.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch is an asset.
• Willing to work on the Tihange site up to 3 days per week.

Responsabilités

• Conduct radiological characterisation studies for nuclear facilities.
• Collaborate with Project Management and Competence Centre teams to align field and office work.
• Develop and apply capabilities using MicroShield, MCNP or RayXpert and Python tools.
• Prepare technical specifications and oversee procurement of measurement systems.
