Tractebel is seeking a Medior Engineer in Radiological Characterisation to join its Radiation Protection, Radwaste and Decommissioning Competence Centre. You will work on radiological assessments, support campaigns, and liaise between field activities at Tihange and the Competence Centre in a hybrid setup.

You will develop programmes, perform studies, and use tools like MicroShield, MCNP, RayXpert, and Python, while maintaining strong client and regulatory interactions.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering or sciences (physics preferred).
• At least 5 years of nuclear sector experience.
• Fluent in French and English; Dutch is an asset.
• Willingness to work on the Tihange site up to 3 days per week; proficient with MS Office; Python knowledge is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Contribute to radiological characterisation studies and projects for clients.
• Collaborate with field teams to align on-site and office work at Tihange.
• Develop and apply capabilities with MicroShield, MCNP, RayXpert and Python tools.
• Write technical specifications and follow up procurement of measurement systems.
• Share expertise and deliver high-quality work on time with supervision when needed.
• Participate in technical bids, trainings, and cross-team coordination.
