Tractebel is seeking a Medior Engineer in Radiological Characterisation to join its Radiation Protection, Radwaste and Decommissioning Competence Centre in Belgium. You will contribute to radiological characterisation of buildings, structures and equipment in a nuclear installation, and help develop strategies and measurement campaigns.

The role requires a master’s or PhD in engineering or sciences, 5+ years in the nuclear sector, and fluency in Dutch and English.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in engineering or sciences.
• At least 5 years of experience in the nuclear sector.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (French an asset).
• Willing to work on the Doel site up to 3 days per week.
• Knowledge of Python is an advantage.

Responsabilités

• Deliver radiological characterisation projects and studies.
• Interface between Doel site and Competence Center ensuring alignment.
• Develop characterisation programmes and follow-up of projects.
• Work up to 3 days per week on the Doel site.
• Provide technical bids and training.
• Collaborate with Project Management and other centres.
