Qplox engineering in Belgium is seeking a Quality Engineer for ASIC production projects to ensure products meet defined quality levels and qualification processes. You will collaborate with project managers and multidisciplinary teams to monitor process maturity and drive improvements across the product lifecycle.

The role requires a Master’s in Electronics Engineering, 5+ years of experience, knowledge of MIL-STD, automotive, and space qualifications, and strong analytical and communication

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience in quality engineering for ASIC/semiconductor projects.
• Knowledge of qualification standards and flows (MIL-STD, automotive, space) and ASIC qualification methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Excellent English communication and willingness to travel across Europe.

Responsabilités

• Ensure proper closure of project gates and milestones.
• Monitor the quality and completeness of project deliverables.
• Verify compliance with established procedures, standards, and qualification flows.
• Drive risk identification and mitigation within project teams.
• Perform and support 8D root cause analysis and failure analysis (F/A).
• Collaborate with managers and technical staff regarding project change requests.
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and quality risks.
• Support a culture of operational excellence and customer focus.

Your Role

As a Quality Engineer for ASIC production projects, you will be responsible for ensuring products are delivered according to defined quality levels and grading requirements. Working closely with project managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams, you will monitor process maturity, support project execution, and drive continuous improvement throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure proper closure of project gates and milestones
• Monitor the quality and completeness of project deliverables
• Verify compliance with established procedures, standards, and qualification flows
• Drive risk identification and mitigation within project teams
• Perform and support 8D root cause analysis and failure analysis (F/A)
• Collaborate with managers and technical staff regarding project change requests
• Proactively identify improvement opportunities and quality risks
• Support a culture of operational excellence and customer focus

Your Profile

• Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering or related field
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a similar quality engineering role
• Strong understanding of qualification standards and flows such as:
• MIL-STD
• Automotive standards
• Space industry qualification requirements
• ASIC qualification methodologies
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities
• Proactive, hands-on, and customer-oriented attitude
• Team player who enjoys working in an international engineering environment
• Excellent communication skills in English
• Willingness to travel regularly within Europe (approximately 1 week per month)
