Role Description

The QHSE Engineer Benelux is a full-time, on-site role based in Leuven, focused on ensuring compliance with quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across operations in the Benelux region. This position involves developing, implementing, and monitoring QHSE policies and procedures, conducting risk assessments, and performing workplace inspections to prevent incidents and ensure a safe working environment. The role includes coordinating and delivering training on health, safety, and environmental topics, supporting incident investigations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The QHSE Engineer will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and management teams, maintain regulatory and internal documentation, and support audits to ensure adherence to local legislation and TEL’s global standards.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Health & Safety, Occupational Health, and Safety Engineering, with the ability to apply these in a high-tech industrial environment.
• Experience in Environment Health and Safety (EHS), including environmental compliance, risk assessment, and implementation of preventive measures.
• Proven ability to design, deliver, and evaluate Training programs related to QHSE topics for diverse audiences.
• Relevant technical degree (e.g., Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Knowledge of Benelux and EU QHSE regulations and standards; experience with audits and certifications (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001) is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an international and cross-functional setting.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Dutch or French is beneficial.
