BDO is seeking a Project Manager to lead finance and accounting technology and business-change initiatives. You will partner with the PMO and cross-functional stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute projects that improve operations, governance, reporting, systems and processes.

The role requires strong project management expertise and the ability to translate business requirements into structured governance and delivery, across multiple geographies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree as listed; 3–5 years PM experience in finance or operations.
• Strong planning, organization and problem-solving skills.
• Proactive and collaborative with the ability to engage stakeholders.
• Experience managing multiple projects in complex environments using agile/hybrid approaches.
• Experience developing executive-level presentations and status reports.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end delivery of finance and accounting technology and business change projects from initiation through implementation and closure.
• Build strong relationships with project sponsors, stakeholders, and member firms.
• Manage project communications; keep stakeholders informed of progress, risks, decisions, and dependencies.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts.
• Facilitate internal and external project meetings across multiple locations.
• Ensure projects are on time, within scope and budget, with quality standards.
• Prepare steering committee materials, maintain decision/action logs, manage approvals, escalate risks.

Position

Project Manager

The Project Manager is responsible for leading and delivering strategic initiatives that support organizational objectives, operational excellence, process transformation, and continuous improvement across the department. This role partners closely with the Project Management Office and cross-functional stakeholders to plan, coordinate, and execute projects that enhance operations, governance, reporting, systems, and business processes.

The successful candidate will combine strong project management expertise with the ability to understand business requirements, manage complex stakeholder environments, and drive successful outcomes through structured governance and execution.

Key accountabilities

Performance and progress in the following areas will be the priorities for this position:

Project Management & Governance

• Lead end-to-end delivery of finance and accounting related technology and business change projects from initiation through implementation and closure
• Build strong working r elationships with project sponsors, operational stakeholders as well as member firms
• Manage project communications and ensure stakeholders remain informed of progress, risks, decisions, and dependencies
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, and resource forecasts
• Facilitate internal and external project meetings across multiple geographic locations
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to agreed quality standards
• Prepare steering committee materials, maintain decision and action logs, manage approvals, and escalating risks and issues

Digital Enablement

• Champion use and maintain digital project management platforms (Digital Project Management tool, MS Project, Planner, SharePoint)
• Ensure data integrity across systems and optimize workflows through digital tools
• Drive change management activities to support adoption of new processes and solutions, including driving training, communications, and go-live readiness
• Support implementation and enhancement of finance-management systems, tools, and reporting solutions as well as changes in business processes
• Coordinate activities related to process redesign, system upgrades, integrations, and transformation initiatives

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Project Management, or a related field
• At least 3-5 years project management experience working within finance, accounting, or business operations environments
• Strong project planning, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a team with a proactive and collaborative can-do attitude
• Demonstrated ability to work proactively with minimal supervision, showing initiative and self-motivation, along with the confidence to effectively engage and collaborate with stakeholders as required
• Experience managing multiple concurrent projects in a complex environment, using agile and hybrid methodologies
• Experience developing executive-level presentations and status reporting
• Ability to facilitate workshops, meetings, and decision-making sessions
• Strong risk, issue, and dependency management skills
