Job summary

VeroTech BV in Belgium’s Limburg region seeks a Product Owner for Embedded Software Integration and Base Software to guide the Software Integration and Base Software team, translating business and technical input into a clear backlog for agile delivery.

You will collaborate with the Scrum Master, software architect, developers and verification teams in a Classic AUTOSAR-based environment, coordinating base software with system and application software and HIL verification.

Qualifications

• Approximately 6–8 years of relevant experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable technical coordination role.
• Strong technical understanding of Classic AUTOSAR-based embedded software and base software development, configuration or integration.
• Experience managing a backlog in an agile development environment, with strong stakeholder management and prioritization skills.

Responsibilities

• Define, refine and prioritize the team backlog based on deadlines, dependencies and technical risks.
• Translate customer and system needs into clear, actionable work items with relevant stakeholders.
• Align base software development with system software, application software and HIL verification and validation teams.
• Make progress, blockers and priority changes visible early to support effective planning and delivery.
• Support scope and priority decisions when requirements are unclear or competing.

About the role

As a Product Owner at VeroTech, you guide the Software Integration and Base Software team for an embedded software product. You translate business, customer and technical input into a clear and prioritized backlog that supports effective agile delivery.

You work closely with the Scrum Master, software architect, developers, and verification and validation teams. The role combines technical coordination, stakeholder alignment and pragmatic prioritization in a Classic AUTOSAR-based environment.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

You combine technical product ownership with solid embedded software knowledge and a pragmatic, proactive approach to multidisciplinary engineering work.

• Approximately 6–8 years of relevant experience, including experience as a Product Owner or in a comparable technical coordination role

• Strong technical understanding of Classic AUTOSAR-based embedded software and base software development, configuration or integration

• Ability to discuss requirements, software architecture and validation needs with engineering teams

• Experience managing a backlog in an agile development environment, with strong stakeholder management and prioritization skills

• Fluent English is required
