Job summary

VeroTech BV is seeking an Embedded Software Integration and Validation Engineer to join our multidisciplinary team in Belgium. You will contribute to the integration, verification and validation of embedded software components across microcontrollers, embedded Linux, and related hardware interfaces.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, system and validation teams to improve test coverage, strengthen automated tests, and support CI/CD and Agile processes in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 3 years of experience in embedded software integration, verification or development.
• Hands-on experience with manual and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Integrate embedded software components into target systems (microcontrollers, embedded Linux).
• Verify interaction between software modules and interfaces.
• Design and execute manual and automated tests against specifications.
• Identify, document and track root-cause analysis of defects.
• Develop test automation tools and support CI/CD in Agile environments.

About the role

As a VeroTech consultant, you contribute to the integration, verification and validation of embedded software components for advanced technical systems. You work across embedded targets such as microcontrollers and embedded Linux, focusing on software quality, reliability and compliance with technical specifications.

You collaborate with software, hardware, system and validation teams to resolve integration issues, improve test coverage and strengthen automated test processes in an Agile environment.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate embedded software components into target systems such as microcontrollers or embedded Linux

• Verify correct interaction between software modules and embedded system interfaces

• Design and execute manual and automated tests against technical specifications

• Identify, document, track and support root-cause analysis of software defects

• Develop test automation and result analysis tools while supporting CI/CD and Agile process improvements

What we're looking for

You combine embedded software expertise with a structured testing mindset and strong collaboration skills in multidisciplinary engineering environments.

• Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Embedded Systems or a related field

• Preferably 3 years of experience in embedded software integration, verification or development

• Hands‑on experience with embedded software integration and manual or automated testing

• Proficiency in C/C++, Rust, Python or Bash, with debugging tools such as JTAG and GDB

• Familiarity with RTOS such as FreeRTOS or Zephyr, asynchronous frameworks such as Embassy or RTIC, and Linux

• Fluent written and spoken English & French is required.
