VeroTech BV seeks a hands-on mechanical project engineer to drive development from prototype to industrialisation. You will design mechanical and thermodynamic systems, integrate CAD work with testing and supplier interactions, and support manufacturing transfer in a fast-paced, international environment.

English and Dutch proficiency is required, with experience in Creo, Inventor or SolidWorks and knowledge of ISO, PED and ASME. A collaborative, ownership-driven mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proficient in English and Dutch.
• Experience with 3D CAD software: Creo, Inventor or SolidWorks.
• Strong in mechanical design, thermodynamics and structural calculations.
• Knowledge of ISO, PED and ASME.
• Ability to set priorities, work independently and contribute to fast iterative design processes.
• Open communication and networking across purchasing, production, service and suppliers.
• Hands-on team player with ownership and growth mindset.

About the role

As a VeroTech consultant, you will support mechanical product development projects from early laboratory prototypes through industrialisation. You will work in an international engineering and manufacturing environment, collaborating with project leaders, local teams and international facilities.

Your focus will be on specifying, designing and improving mechanical and thermodynamic systems, including pumps, piping, coolers, fans, valves, sheet metal and castings. You will combine 3D CAD design, calculations, testing, supplier interaction and production support to create robust, manufacturable and serviceable solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D CAD designs for mechanical systems and components
• Build and maintain Bills of Materials for product development and manufacturing
• Perform design calculations, risk analyses and technical evaluations for cost, manufacturability, logistics and serviceability
• Define test programs and follow up prototype testing from preparation to technical assessment
• Prepare assembly instructions and support the transition from prototype to full-scale manufacturing
• Collaborate with suppliers, purchasing, production, service and international engineering teams
• Troubleshoot quality or performance issues in production and field installations and implement permanent solutions

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience
• Good proficiency in English and Dutch.
• Experience with 3D CAD software such as Creo, Inventor or SolidWorks is a strong advantage
• Strong affinity with mechanical design, thermodynamics and structural calculations
• Knowledge of international standards such as ISO, PED and ASME
• Ability to set priorities, work independently and contribute to fast iterative design processes
• Open, science-backed communication style with the ability to build networks across purchasing, production, service and suppliers
• Hands‑on team player with an innovative, growth‑oriented mindset, a can‑do attitude and a strong sense of ownership
