Job summary

Jan De Nul Group in Aalst, Belgium, seeks a Procurement Engineer for Construction Projects with a Bachelor's or Master's degree and a keen interest in civil engineering and procurement. From the central purchasing department you will support purchases for multiple construction sites, manage suppliers end-to-end, and handle sourcing, contracting, and evaluation.

Ideal candidates have strong communication, initiative, teamwork, and the ability to work under pressure; driving license B and fluent

Qualifications

• Hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree and have keen interest in civil engineering and procurement processes.
• Strong communication skills, take the initiative and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Experience in project-based procurement for buildings or infrastructure projects is an advantage but not required.

Responsibilities

• From the central purchasing department, support purchases for various construction sites.
• Responsible for the complete management of overarching suppliers: sourcing, contracting, communication, implementation and evaluation.
• Prepare price comparison tables and justify the choice of a Supplier/Subcontractor.
• Construct and negotiate framework contracts and ensure implementation and evaluation.
• Closely monitor and apply existing procurement processes.
