Job summary

Jan De Nul Group in Aalst/Hofstade is seeking a Procurement Engineer for Construction Projects with a bachelor’s or master’s degree and a keen interest in civil engineering and procurement processes.

From the central purchasing department, you will support purchases for construction sites, manage suppliers end-to-end from sourcing to evaluation, and ensure best cost/benefit outcomes through rigorous analysis and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Interest in civil engineering and procurement processes.
• Experience in project-based procurement is advantageous but not required.
• Strong communication, initiative and teamwork.
• Able to work under pressure and solve problems; analytical with market knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Support purchases for construction sites from the central purchasing department.
• Manage suppliers end-to-end from sourcing to evaluation.
• Contribute to contracting, communication and implementation of frameworks.
• Prepare price comparison analyses for best cost/benefit and risk.
• Justify supplier selections and oversee contract preparation and follow-up.
