imec in Leuven invites applications for an Integrated Power Delivery Research Engineer. You will research and develop advanced power management circuits and delivery techniques for next‑generation semiconductor technologies, enabling efficient power delivery from package to block levels.

You will model, simulate, and evaluate architectures, collaborate with experts across technology, device engineering, and system architecture, and contribute to demonstrator ICs and tape‑out for future computing

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, or a related field.
• Background in analog, mixed-signal, or power electronics design.
• Experience with circuit design and simulation tools such as Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre.
• Understanding of voltage regulation, power conversion, and power management.
• Familiarity with CMOS technologies and semiconductor device fundamentals.
• Experience with integrated voltage regulators, DC-DC converters, switched-capacitor converters, or power management ICs is a strong plus.
• You are motivated to contribute to demonstrator ICs and, as these activities expand, to support the full design cycle from circuit concept through tape-out and silicon evaluation.

• Design, modelling, simulation, and evaluation using industry-standard IC design methodologies.
• Collaborate with technology, device engineering, digital implementation, power delivery, and system architecture teams.
• Contribute to demonstrator ICs and tape-out to validate concepts and guide future technologies.
