Imec, a world-leading research center in nanotechnology, seeks a System Software Engineer to develop and maintain system-level software for advanced engineering and research environments. You will work in multidisciplinary teams with software, electronics, hardware, and systems engineers to translate complex needs into robust software for system control, data acquisition, automation, and processing.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Professional software development experience with strong programming skills in C++, Python, and/or C#.
• Solid knowledge of software engineering principles, software architecture, OO programming, algorithms, data structures, and computational efficiency.
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to problem-solving.
• Experience with Git, testing practices, and modern software development workflows.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to collaborate in multidisciplinary teams.
• A commitment to creating reliable, maintainable, and high-quality software.
