Job summary

Ghent University invites applications for a part-time research-oriented position in Educational Sciences. The role focuses on 70% research in teacher education and language education, with teaching responsibilities in the Educational Sciences program and/or the Master’s in Primary Education.

You will supervise doctoral students and theses, contribute to exams, and engage with external activities. The appointment starts 1 February 2027 at the earliest, for 2.5 years with a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Excellent research track record in educational research.
• Experience in teaching and supervising students.
• Proven ability to secure and manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Conduct academic research (70% time) in educational sciences.
• Assist with teaching in Educational Sciences program and/or Master’s in Primary Education.
• Supervise doctoral students and master’s theses.
• Act as thesis examiner and contribute to internal/external services.
