Job summary

Phoenix Technologies in Brussels is seeking a PMO/Delivery lead to manage the delivery of IS initiatives and translate ExCom priorities into concrete projects with clear scopes.

You will ensure alignment between business and IS stakeholders, monitor progress, and drive continuous improvement in project methodologies across IT teams and external partners.

The role requires strong governance reporting to Boards, SteerCo and ExCom to ensure timely, value-driven outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Managing the delivery of IS initiatives.
• Translate ExCom priorities into IS initiatives and projects with clear scopes.
• Oversee delivery of critical IS development initiatives: scope, planning, dependencies, risks and capabilities.
• Synchronize critical projects with run activities affected by these projects.
• Monitor progress of deliverables, identify alerts, and propose corrective actions.
• Support PMO/Governance and CIO Office in evaluating prioritized requests for value and delivery capacity.
• Coordinate planning of IS resources (internal and external) for critical projects with domain managers.
• Support project managers to identify roadblocks and find IS management solutions.
• Support adoption of key management processes (sourcing, vendor, risk, planning, budget).
• Ensure qualitative reporting from PMs to IS management and governance bodies.
• Continuous improvement and performance.
• Capitalize on lessons learned and support PMO in applying improved project methodologies.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between IT teams, external partners, and business units.
• Act as PMO/Delivery reference point for critical and structuring initiatives.

Job description

Managing the delivery of IS initiatives Supporting the operational implementation of ExCom priorities into concrete IS initiatives and projects, with clear scopes, aligned with the various Business and IS stakeholders Ensure overall management of the delivery of critical IS development initiatives (scope, planning, dependencies, risks, capabilities) Ensure proper synchronization between critical projects and the run activities impacted by these projects Monitor the progress of deliverables, identify alerts, and propose corrective actions in case of deviations Responsibilities at the PMO/Governance level Supporting the PM and the CIO Office in evaluating prioritized requests in terms of value, impact, dependencies, and delivery capacity Coordinate the planning of IS resources (internal and external) for critical projects in conjunction with domain managers Supporting the PMs of critical projects, as needed, in identifying potential roadblocks to project completion, and in finding solutions with IS management. As needed, support departments and projects in the application of specific key management processes such as Sourcing & Procurement management, Vendor management, Scope management, Stakeholder management, Risk management, Planning management, Budget management, etc. Ensure qualitative reporting from PMs to IS management and governance bodies (Boards, SteerCo, ExCom, program committees) Continuous improvement and performance Contribute to the alignment of project practices (methodologies, standards, tools) within the IS department Capitalize on lessons learned from critical projects and support the PMO Office in proposing and implementing measures to improve the application of project methodologies in force within the IS Facilitating cross-functional collaboration between IT teams, external partners, and business units Acting as a PMO/Delivery point of reference for critical and structuring initiatives
